Our Story
I met my husband Brad in May of 2004. I was newly divorce with two tweens and Brad was operating a non-profit performing arts group for teens. We married 2 years later and In 2006 began our adventure as “Team Deason”, and what an adventure we've had. Since marrying, we have added three children to the Deason bunch, one adopted and two we created all on our own. Our kids consist of the “bigs” which are Caitlin, Logan and Tabby. Then we have “the littles” who are Cooper and Max. Since we met 16 years ago, we’ve lived in Kentucky and Tennessee and in 2019 we made the big move to the east coast of Florida where we live beach-side with the “littles”.
We moved to Nashville in 2009 and opened our first company specializing in patient assistance for medication. We followed a monthly fee business model for our clients at that time. This didn't work well for the clients who had to remember to keep money in their account every month or for the us because we had to keep up with all the recurring payments. While this saved our clients thousands of dollars a year, it also was very taxing as a business model and not sustainable for long-term growth.
We grew in small spurts but were not able to reach the client potential that we knew we needed because our financial efforts were based on collections and not growing and promoting the company. For this reason we now offer one-time yearly fee for prescription assistance programs. This allows our members to receive significantly more savings and allows us to concentrate on helping each member more effectively instead of chasing down recurring fees each month.
Knowing we needed to provide more than one niche service, in 2012 we introduced our member-based mail-order prescriptions. This was such a great option for those who made too much for patient assistance programs and for those whose programs had expired. These medications are shipped in 90-Day supplies to the member’s home directly from the manufacturer. We were starting to really meet the needs of our members for all prescriptions.
In 2018, Brad suffered a stroke, which could have been debilitating except for the miraculous. He should not have had a healthy life to look forward to from the type of stroke he had. Since then, we have yet another deep passion inside us to make sure that our members are prepared for whatever they may face tomorrow, because we know first hand that you can wake up and your life be forever changed. Having affordable medication at your fingertips when faced with these issues is paramount.
For the past fourteen years we have been actively seeking ways to make our members lives easier and save them money in the process. We are thankful that we are able to provide discount prescription assistance, a much needed service, that allows people to be compliant with their medication at a price they can afford. We will continue to look for new ways to save our members on their prescriptions and healthcare and provide excellent service along the way.
